Our mission at PERFORM Fitness is to offer specific, customized, holistic, high-quality, and evidence-based fitness training methodology for all ages and for all goals. We utilize Parisi training schemes – the industry’s leader in sports performance.

We believe a fit body, a fit mind, discipline, and accountability builds resilience, strength, confidence, endurance, and knowledge and are foundational in optimizing PERFORMance in any arena. Whether it’s in your role at home, at school, in sport, or on the job.

At PERFORM, you will find safe, reliable, high-quality space (3 bathrooms with showers and change rooms, viewing area, approximately 30 yards of running lanes, and 5000+ sq. feet of training space); top-of-the-line Intek equipment; and expert, service-centered, passionate, and caring coaches who will help elevate and optimize your fitness. Sam Toellner
Owner/Director/Sport Performance Coach

Sam has been affiliated with the Parisi Speed School for 4+ years, and in that time he’s gone from personal trainer to sports performance coach. He served as a program director for a year and is now the owner-director of Perform Fitness STL, a Parisi affiliate.

Sam ran track in school and is USATF Level 1 certified. He has been Parisi certified yearly, and his passion within the fitness arena is coaching speed and youth sports performance.

Komal Ashraf
Owner

Komal is a neurologist specializing in concussion, sports neurology, headaches, and epilepsy, with nearly a decade of experience practicing in Mid-Missouri. At the University of Missouri–Columbia, she serves as a clinician-educator, administrator-scientist, and holds multiple leadership roles. She is also the medical director of a nationally recognized concussion program and has built strong regional connections to support athletes of all ages, from amateurs to professionals.

She is most proud of being a mom to two girls and, in her free time, trains as a competitive powerlifter—holding multiple state records, a national record, and aiming to compete on the world stage this year. Alongside Sam, she is the co-owner of Perform Fitness STL, a proud Parisi affiliate.

Jamie Fetting
Head Coach

Coach Jamie holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology with a focus on nutrition and sports performance. With over 8 years of experience in training and athletics, he has worked with hundreds of athletes ranging in age from 4 to 78 years old.

Jamie specializes in strength training and corrective exercise. He is also an accomplished competitor in strongman and powerlifting, having earned multiple first-place finishes over the past four years. Now, he brings that same competitive energy and expertise to Maryland Heights!

Outside of the gym, Coach Jamie enjoys playing drums, spending time with his cats, furthering his education, and taking road trips to visit his partner in Madison, Wisconsin.

Shey is a dedicated and passionate coach with a diverse background in biological sciences, personal training, sports performance, leadership, and clinical knowledge. She played four years of NCAA Division III softball at Webster University and holds a CF-L1 certification in CrossFit. She also earned her Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from Logan University.

Shey’s coaching philosophy centers on educating and empowering athletes by helping them understand the “why” behind their training. She builds trust and fosters communication to create a supportive environment where athletes feel motivated to push their limits, overcome adversity, and reach their full potential—both on and off the field.

Cody Cornier is a graduate of Maryville University with a strong foundation in athletics and leadership. Originally from Mundelein, Illinois, Cody competed in lacrosse for 16 years, finishing his career at the collegiate level with Maryville. His early exposure to a wide variety of sports ignited a lasting passion for strength and conditioning.

Today, Cody channels that passion into coaching, taking pride in guiding others through their strength and performance journeys. Outside of coaching, he’s the oldest of four siblings, a lifelong dog lover, and an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys staying active beyond the gym.

Cooper Privett
Trainer/Sports Performance Coach

Cooper Privett brings over 11+ years of experience in powerlifting and athletics, having competed at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. His lifelong involvement in sports has shaped a deep passion for helping others achieve their goals and realize their full potential.

Driven by a desire to change lives through strength and performance training, Cooper is committed to guiding individuals on their fitness journey and making their dreams a reality—one goal at a time.
